The world without Google seems impossible. Survival would be very difficult. It also warns us to think twice before getting addicted to free services, which are very dangerous. However, there are a handful of countries that survive on this planet without Google, but it cannot be understood that they are not using search engines. China, Cuba, Crimea, and Iran are some of the well-known countries where Google services are restricted.
Coming back to the topic, Google has become an essential service to survive comfortably on earth. We live in a digital age where information matters, and Google helps manage it very efficiently. We need not restore information because a click is enough to avail it at will 24x7. Therefore, a day without Google will cripple you, for sure. Even though you can live a day without the sun, you can’t live comfortably without a search engine.
Google Maps have already transformed navigation completely. Real-time data for traffic, directions, and other location services helped the business thrive from individual interest to business interest. So, disruptions of such services will lead the world to a standstill.Without Google, the digital economy that contributes 15% to GDP in the world economy will falter, and very surprisingly, it will rise 2.5% faster. Google suits are considered to be an integral part of the business, which will hinder productivity to a great extent. All the communication modes will be slowed down and create havoc among clients and consumers. All the promotional activities and sales will largely be reduced, and it will put a bracket on the revenue generation streams.
Undoubtedly, we can survive and sustain the inconveniences, but it will not be a normal day, literally. It will disrupt information access, navigation, communication, and the functioning of the digital economy. The world is now beginning to build a huge digital ecosystem that appears to be cost-effective and convenient, with many other options available to deal with the crisis in the future. Still, Google matters a lot in our daily lives. And it is the panacea for the modern world's existential problems.
